The Science Party, then known as the Future Party, ran an Upper House ticket in the 2015 NSW election, as Group M. The biographies of the two lead candidates are below.

James Jansson

James Jansson is founder and leader of the Future Party. He is a mathematical modeller of infectious diseases and their health outcomes. He is currently working at the Kirby Institute, UNSW.

Andrea Finno

Andrea is the Director of the Future Party. He has worked in software development for over 15 years and recently completed postgraduate studies at UNSW. He is currently working in a product development team in Sydney.
